Gude! I'm a youthful entrepreneur from the heart of Hesse, situated in the rich landscapes of Wetterau, Germany, dedicating my life to the fusion of technology and photography.
From a young age, my curiosity was captivated by the world of electronics, sparking a lifelong interest in technology that has only grown stronger over time. I taught myself programming over 16 years ago autodidactically, and shortly after, I ventured into creating my own Linux servers and websites which are on the internet now for numerous years. Today, I can confidently say that I have honed an extensive knowledge base in hardware, software, networking, and server management.
Over the past 8 years, I've leveraged this expertise to support my clients as an IT specialist, developing software projects and websites. I'm a fervent advocate for open-source projects and maintain my own developments, believing in the power of community-driven innovation. I also take immense pleasure in sharing my knowledge, having served as a lecturer in high schools and corporations. What started as an independent venture has evolved into a full-fledged enterprise, Neoground GmbH, which I've been steering for 3 years now.
My passion for technology isn't confined to my professional life. I delight in integrating cutting-edge tech into my personal life, whether it's through smart home solutions, micro-tech projects involving Raspberry Pi and Arduino, or my recent exploration into high-frequency technology.
Parallel to my technological pursuits, photography holds a special place in my heart. I've nurtured this passion for over 13 years, honing a wide array of photographic skills. My focus is on event and wedding photography, but my curiosity has led me to explore other realms of photography and image editing. From capturing over 500 bands at concerts and festivals (some of which I co-organized), conducting photoshoots across Germany, to creating school portraits and group photos, my camera is my tool to narrate stories and immortalize special moments, both on location and in my personal studio.
I delight in merging my twin passions, technology and photography — be it through building my own photo booth, crafting an all-sky camera, or utilizing drones, 360° cameras, and weather satellites for photography.
Yet, my interests extend well beyond the realms of technology and photography. I'm an ardent writer, a keen observer of current events, and a passionate historian who also enjoys delving into genealogy. I reach for the stars with my telescope, embark on voyages to explore new regions, savor music, invent new recipes in my kitchen, and more. These diverse interests and thoughts flow into my blog, which you can find right here on this website.
I'm a firm believer in continuous learning and the pursuit of curiosity as the keys to personal growth and fulfillment.
Besides this personal blog, I also write and publish on my company's blog. There, I share articles on software and web-related topics in both German and English. This bilingual approach allows me to connect with a broader audience, sharing my thoughts and knowledge with people from all over the world.
Over the years I worked with most standard tools. For example I used most editors, from the good old vim to modern IDEs like Eclipse.
Here's a selection of systems, languages and software I know very well:
